There is a small but important election taking place this week, and next, for some of our members! King Conservation District (KCD) is holding an election for seat 1# on their board. Any member living within the King County Conservation District can cast their ballot between Monday, March 18th and Friday, March 29th; paper ballots need to be requested through the KCD website. (http://kingcd.org/about/board-of-supervisors/elections-and-appointments/) There is also an option to vote in person at the KCD Office.
At our February meeting, we had the opportunity to hear from two of the six candidates running for this position, Chris Porter and Karen Howe, each earning an endorsement from the body. To check out their bios please click here: Chris Porter and Karen Howe. Or to find out exactly what a conservation district is, click here. **Don’t forget to cast your ballot if your are able, last election there were very few votes cast!**

Primary or Caucus?
We Need Your Input! |
| |
Within our state party, a debate is currently underway on whether or not we should continue with the caucus system, or convert to a primary for the upcoming presidential election. Our state central committee members will be participating in the vote on this issue at the state meeting in April, and they would like to hear your opinion! There is an option to leave feedback on our website, you can also email Mark Boswell or Diana Fleming (our state central committee members), or come to our March meeting, where we plan to have a discussion and take a straw vote. Can’t wait to see you there!
