Dear Fellow Democrat,
Is there a particular issue that you care about that you would like to see addressed in our party platform or in a state-wide resolution? This is your chance to make your voice heard across Washington state and even nationally.
2022 is a Caucus and Convention year! The 31st Legislative District Democrats will hold a Delegate Selection Caucus on Saturday, March 26, 2022, starting at 10am. Our LD Caucus will be held virtually. Under my authority as LD Chair, I am providing formal notice of a meeting for the purpose of electing a delegation of Democrats from the 31st LD to participate in the 2022 Washington State Democratic Party Convention on June 25th in Tacoma.
Attendance at the Convention in June may be in person or virtual, according to your preference. The State Convention is where the 2022 Party Platform will be adopted, and resolutions sourced from the grass roots of the party will be considered.
Anyone who is a resident of the 31st legislative district can run to be a delegate. Please share this notice with your friends and neighbors. We are hoping to have as much diversity as possible represented in our delegation.
All you need to do to get started is to fill out this FORM.
Finally, you should register to attend our local LD Caucus on March 26 via this ZOOM LINK.
If you are a PCO and/or have paid dues for 2022 as of February 24, 2022, as a member in good standing of the 31st LD Democrats, you are hereby called to attend the LD Caucus and are eligible to vote for our slate of delegates. Your attendance at the Caucus is important even if you do not plan to run to be a delegate yourself.
Linked to this notice is the PROPOSED RULES which we will be discussed, along with the proposed agenda, at our March membership meeting on March 23, 2022, at 7pm, just ahead of the caucus.

Are you a member of the 31st?
Annual dues are $31 per calendar year, and are a significant portion of our operating budget. While our general meetings are open to all, only dues-paying members have voting privileges. Reduced dues are available in limited income situations that include, but aren’t limited to veteran, senior and/or student status, with a minimum of $5 that ensures full rights and privileges.
