Dear Brian Gunn,
Hope to see you this weekend in person at our annual holiday party, and in January on Zoom for our biennial re-organization, details for both events are below! There will be no general meeting for December.
Holiday Party - December 18th 6pm at The Grange
- We will be celebrating a great year and the phenomenal members of our executive board that are moving on with some delicious food, warm drinks, and good friends!
- The 31st will be providing a turkey and ham, and we ask for you to bring a dish. To get a little variety we offer the following suggestion of what to bring according to first letter of your last name:
- A - D: Wine or Other Alcoholic Beverage
- E - H: Hot Side Dish
- I - L: Cold Side Dish
- M - P: Chips/Dips, Pretzels, ect.
- Q - T: Dessert
- U - Z: Water, Soda, or Other Nonalcoholic Beverage
-
We are a proud secular organization, but we also recognize that many within our membership have beliefs worth celebrating; with that nuance in mind, we will have a moment to recognize that the 18th is the first night of Chanukah!
-
Festive Ugly Sweaters are encouraged, there may be a prize for whoever wears the most joy!
-
For anyone wanting to participate, please bring an ornament for a small gift exchange. This ornament should be less than $10 in value and can absolutely be handmade or a repurposed gift!
- If you would like to help setup or cleanup this event, please contact Tamara Stramel.
Reorganization - January 14th on ZOOM at 9am
- It is time to elect a new board! Our biennial reorg will be taking place 100% virtually on zoom. Official business will begin promptly at 9:30a, we suggest everyone log on closer to 9a, so that all credential questions can be answered before business begins.
- All eligible to vote will receive a call to meeting notice with further instructions in January. PCOs can vote for all board positions, while paid members will have the opportunity to vote on all non-statutory positions. If you are a paid member wishing to participate, please take this time to renew your annual membership renew your annual membership for 2023.
- We have 18 board positions that need to be filled, from Treasurer to Pierce County Representative, all important for our growth and effectiveness throughout the next two years. If you would like to review the description of officer duties they are all on the website. If you have questions about where you might best serve the organization, please reach out to Vice Chair Sarah Edwards to chat about it!

Annual dues are $31 per calendar year, and are a significant portion of our operating budget. While our general meetings are open to all, only dues-paying members have voting privileges. Reduced dues are available in limited income situations that include, but aren’t limited to veteran, senior and/or student status, with a minimum of $5 that ensures full rights and privileges.
